rbI got a card in hospital from the internet!
I know it's from the internet because it says so, see (click for larger sizes):
And if it's from Teh Interwebs then in must be true, right?
The poor hospital people got a bit confused because Teh Interwebs is obviously rather prescient so the card reached the hospital before I did:
It was a very very beautiful card with feathers on the front:
It was a very happy-making card, and I took it in and out of the envelope so many times that the feathers fell off in the end! Inside there was a list of all my #dw IRC channel friends who had conspired to send it to me, including of course the channel robots:
I was feeling very alone when I received the card on the Friday - knowing that the Dreamwidth open beta was happening almost at that exact time and I was missing it. I opened the card and burst into tears because there were so many friends saying they were thinking of me - it really made me very very happy. Thank you to all the conspirators, and all of the rest who I know would have participated if you'd known it was happening.
